Service Project Opportunities

Landscaping & Yard Service

Time commitment: 2–4 hours or recurring
Help with mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, leaf removal, mulching, and general seasonal cleanup.

Driveway Repair

Landscaping & Yard Service

Time commitment: One or more full workdays
Assist with filling cracks and potholes, edging, cleaning, sealing, and preparing the driveway for professional repairs.

Pool Maintenance

Pool Maintenance

Time commitment: 1–3 hours or recurring during the summer
Help clean the pool and surrounding area, organize equipment, maintain outdoor furniture, and prepare the pool for gatherings.

Paint Men's Wing

Time commitment: One full day or a weekend
Prepare walls, patch small holes, protect flooring, and paint bedrooms, hallways, trim, and common areas.

Electrical Receptacles

Clean Gutters & Downspouts

Time commitment: Half-day or full day
Qualified electricians can help inspect and replace aging receptacles, switches, and covers. Electrical work must be completed or supervised by a properly licensed professional.

Time commitment: 2–4 hours
Remove leaves and debris, flush downspouts, and identify areas needing repair. Volunteers comfortable with ladder work are especially helpful.

Create Backyard Firepit & Patio

Time commitment: Multi-day church-group project
Supply stone, seating, lighting, drainage, landscaping, water faucet, and other materials for a lasting outdoor ministry space.

Clean Chicken Coop

Create Backyard Firepit & Patio

Time commitment: 2–4 hours
Clean the coop, remove debris, make minor repairs, and prepare the area for future use.

Hire a licensed and insured tree-removal company to safely fell the tree. Because of the tree’s height and condition, this project should not be attempted by general volunteers.

How much time must I commit?

Volunteer roles range from a single project or event to consistent weekly or monthly service. We will look for a fit that is useful and sustainable

Can a family or small group serve together?

Yes. Some house, grounds, meal, and event projects are especially well-suited to groups.

Do mentors receive guidance?

Yes. Mentors are oriented, supported, and given practical prompts for meaningful student conversations.

What if I am not sure where I fit?

That is a fine place to begin. Tell us about your interests, availability, and skills, and we will explore a good first step together.
