Haven House is building a faithful Christian presence near Stockton University through residential community, mentorship, table fellowship, thoughtful study, and campus outreach.


We seek staff who want to invest in students and young adults—and who value collaboration with local churches, campus ministries, alumni, faculty, and more.

Residential staff.

We especially seek staff who desire to live in community at Haven House. Residential staff share the rhythms and responsibilities of one intentional Christian household—not simply a rented room.

  • Participate in prayer, meals, hospitality, and house life
  • Build relationships with Resident Fellows and students
  • Contribute to discipleship, mentoring, and campus outreach
  • Share practical responsibility for a welcoming home

PARTNER FROM YOUR MINISTRY

Associate staff.

Associate staff may serve as campus ministers through another organization or church while partnering actively with Haven House. They do not need to live at the house to share in the mission.

  • Participate in selected Haven House ministries
  • Collaborate on campus relationships and outreach
  • Refer, mentor, and encourage students
  • Connect churches and ministries around shared opportunities

Haven House Ministries

Take part in table fellowship, prayer, mentoring, Bible study, worship, retreats, hospitality, and other student gatherings.

Communications

Tell the Haven House story through social media, email, photography, video, the website, and community relationships.

Facilities Managment

Help steward the house and grounds through maintenance planning, project coordination, safety, and practical care.

On-campus Ministries

Develop relationships, support Christian fellowships, join campus prayer and outreach, and help students find meaningful community.

Programs & Events

Coordinate gatherings, speakers, meals, retreats, ministry teams, student activities, and follow-up.

No. We especially value staff who want to share a residential community, but associate staff may partner through another campus ministry or church while living elsewhere.

No. Everyone participates in the broader Haven House and campus mission, while specific assignments may emphasize facilities, programs and events, communications, mentoring, hospitality, or outreach.

Yes. Start with a conversation and house visit. We can learn about your calling, sending organization, availability, gifts, and interest in residential or associate service. We can begin with an internship of six weeks or more.

Haven House seeks to complement, connect, and strengthen churches and campus ministries—not compete with them. We serve the whole campus and make room for all the campus ministries to make use of the house for ministry.

Staff and Interns Complete the Converge Course

All staff and associates complete a customized project that aligns with the ministry at Haven House and your gifts, talents, and abilities.

Explore how you can create your staff training/internship experience. This course will guide you in learning how to make a difference for students, faculty, and others in the Stockton University community. You can also download the course syllabus, which provides detailed insights into the phases, assignments, and curriculum. This course was originally designed for international internship assignments. However, the flexible design of the course can help you chart your path to make a difference using your training, skills, and passions, particularly in the context of discipleship and working alongside students at Haven House.
