Resident Fellowships & Mentorships

The Mentorship is required for those who do a Resident Fellowship. However, a Fellowship is not required for those who are in the Mentorship program. The programs are for self-described Christians from any denomination. It is not for undergrad students only; young adults and grad students may also participate. The age range is 18 to 30 years old. The program is not limited to Stockton students; students from other colleges, technical schools, and training programs may also participate. 

This Fellowship and Mentorship does not relate to any other Christian Study Center at the present moment. However, relationships with other Study Centers are developing. The goal of the programs is to foster and support a faithful Christian presence in the Stockton University community. 

The Mentors are part of a cohort each semester, which lasts for 12 weeks. They have three orientation sessions where they have the opportunity to share progress and ask questions. The Mentees experience a custom-designed experience with their Mentor by deciding a few spiritual goals. Mentors are instructed to emphasize listening and to follow the guidelines provided through weekly emails. Mentors also provide brief feedback week to week. Participants do not have a class to attend, a formal curriculum, or books to read. However, both Mentors and Mentees are encouraged to attend a few Table Fellowship gatherings where stories are heard, and discussions lead to Jesus. Mentors may lead their Mentee to read a book or two together as part of their goal for the mentorship. 

Students must apply. The initial application form is very simple, though it does require a personal story/testimony of the student's relationship with Jesus Christ. The program is not officially connected to either Stockton University or any other organization or church. However, Youth With A Mission missionaries, John & Mary Henry, are giving leadership to the program. Mentorships are $100/month with a $90 scholarship, which makes the fee only $10/month. Resident Fellows are invited to an interview with members of our Resident Admissions Board. Parents or Guardians are welcome to attend with their student. Fees for Resident Fellowships are $850/month with a $100 monthly scholarship, which makes the total monthly. fee only $750/month (This is as of the Fall of 2026. Fees are subject to change) Room and Utilities are included. Food is not included. However, some meals and household necessities are included.

The most important questions we ask participants in the Mentorship and Resident Fellows programs relate to their spiritual formation and relationships with fellow students, faculty, parents, their church, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no formal partnership with Stockton campus ministries. However, any Christian fellowship or leader is welcome to request use of space at Haven House for Bible studies, worship, and leadership gatherings.
